Without a financial forecast, it’s really hard for your brain to wrap itself around the idea of how it’s going to 3X, 5x or even 10X revenue from last year to this year. But once it can see the pathway, it makes your brain say, “hey! we can do this!”
6) Choosing too many goals based on timelines
So many coaches make the mistake of simply setting goals on # of clients or revenue in a month or year. This creates so much pressure and sets you up to basically be “failing” until you hit a specific number! NOT the vibe.

MEET EMILY
Emily Eliza Moyer believes deeply in the power of coaching to change lives – which is why she's so obsessed with helping coaches learn the business skills they need to reach more people and have the impact they're meant to have on the world.
Emily is a master coach and has been coaching for 13 years. Her career started as a Teach for America teacher back in 2010. After just her first year teaching, she began coaching and mentoring other first-year teachers.
She later went on to become the head of a 30-person sales team for a venture-backed travel start-up called Remote Year, building & coaching her team the entire way. As the leader of the growth team, the company's revenue 10X'd from 2 million to 20 million.
Emily doesn't just know coaching and sales for herself. Because of her years of experience as a teacher and sales leader, she actually knows how to teach it to others so that they get even better results than her own.
She now focuses on helping extraordinary coach-entrepreneurs master sales skills so that they can make a (wildly good) living doing what they love, focusing on what they do best: changing lives through the power of coaching.
